STORYLINE: Hart, a second round MLB draft pick, battled back in 2001 from sitting out the majority of the 2000 season after suffering a right elbow injury. He enters his junior season at UF with a 6-9 career record, 6.94 ERA and 92 strikeouts in 105 innings. Last year, Hart held opposing batters to a .239 average and went at least 5.0+ innings in each of his last five starts.

2000: Earned medical redshirt after suffering through right elbow injury...Made five appearances with four starts...Posted 0-1 record with a 7.29 ERA over 21.0 innings...Suffered a right elbow strain against FSU on Feb. 19...Equaled longest career start with 6.1 innings vs. Miami, 2/13, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits...Pitched at Miami, 2/5 in relief...Allowed five runs (three earned) with a career-high five walks and six strikeouts...Had a career-high seven strikeouts in season-opening start at Hawaii (1/21) over four innings.
1999: Made 12 appearances with 10 starts as a true freshman...Posted a 3-4 record with an 8.16 ERA... UF went 6-4 in his 10 starts...32 strikeouts in 32 innings pitched...Threw a season-best 6.1 innings against Alabama...Earned first SEC win at Vanderbilt, pitching five innings while allowing just three runs on seven hits with six strikeouts...Earned first career win against Bethune-Cookman, pitching four scoreless innings with six strikeouts...Made first start on the road at Miami, earning the loss after allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits over three innings...Missed five weeks due to rotator cuff tendonitis.
SUMMER BASEBALL: Played for Harrisonburg (Va.) in the Valley League during summer of 1999...10 appearances with eight starts...Posted a 3-2 record with a 3.58 ERA over 50.1 innings...Recorded 53 strikeouts and allowed opponents to hit just .213 on the season, third-best in the league.
