STORYLINE: Shealy returns for his senior season after hitting 16 home runs in 114 career games played. A former fifth round selection by the Colorado Rockies in the 1998 MLB draft, Shealy is an athletic powerhitting first baseman who is looking forward to a big season in 2002.

2001: Played in 43 and started 41 games (30 at 1B, 11 at DH)...Went on 19-game hit streak from 2/10-3/17...Hit .373 (19-51) with four home runs and team-leading 16 RBI and .686 slugging percentage in February...Has 11-multi hit games and eight multi-RBI games...Hit home run and finished with two RBI vs. Arkansas, 3/25...Hit three home runs in first four games of the season...Went 2-5 with two RBI vs. Central Michigan, 3/3/01...Hit home run to straightaway centerfield, went 2-4 with two RBI vs. Jacksonville, 2/28...Registered first career triple and went 2-4 vs. Winthrop, 2/20...Went 3-4, scored four runs, hit career-high two home runs and matched career-high with six RBI vs. Savannah State, 2/7...Saw first action in 34 consecutive games in start vs. Miami, 2/3.

2000: Was a returning starter at first base...SEC Academic Honor Roll selection...Had arthroscopic surgery on his right elbow on April 3 and missed the remainder of the season...Saw action in 25 games with nine starts (4 at 1B, 5 at DH) before undergoing season-ending surgery ...Hit .122 with three HR and five RBI...Hit .077 in SEC play...Three of five hits went for home runs...Knocked pinch hit two-run home run against Florida State, 2/27...Hit a solo home run against Jacksonville, 2/9.

1999: Played in 46 games with 44 starts...Split starter at first base (33 games) and designated hitter (11 games)...Hit .278 with eight HR and 31 RBI...Hit .313, third on the team, with five HR in SEC play...Hit first career home run against LSU...Posted seven-game hit streak...Posted back-to-back three hit games at Vanderbilt...Had a season-high four RBI in season finale against Alabama.

SUMMER BASEBALL: Played the 1999 summer for Harrisonburg in the Valley League...Led team with .339 average along with three home runs and 22 RBI...Had team-best .448 on-base percentage.
