PREP: A 2000 graduate of Robinson High School in Fairfax, Va. where he earned two baseball letters for head coach Tom Peterson...Posted a 3-3 record and struck out 32 batters in 25.2 innings with a 4.76 ERA as a junior...Finished 3-2 with 1.81 ERA and 56 strikeouts as a sophomore.
SUMMER BASEBALL: Played for the Raston Hacks of the Clark Griffith League during the summer of 2000...Ranked sixth in league in strikeouts...Played for Fairfax County Eagles in 1998...Concluded season with 1.22 ERA, 3-1 record in five games started.
