Foster is a righthanded transfer from Tulane where he helped lead the Green Wave to a College World Series appearance in 2001.

1999-2001 AT TULANE: Attended and played two seasons at Tulane for head coach Rick Jones...Helped lead Green Wave to 56-13 record, College World Series appearance in 2001...Named First Team All-Conference USA and Louisiana Sportswriters Association All State Team in 2001 after finishing 9-4 with a 3.51 ERA and 74 strikeouts in 89.2 innings and 21 appearances...Started 12 games and completed two games with one shutout...Opponents hit only .268 vs. him...Posted 3-2 record and 7.32 ERA in 18 appearances and five starts in 2000...Struck out 33 batters in 48.0 innings.

SUMMER BASEBALL: Played in the Cape Cod League for the Falmouth Commodores during the summer of 2000...Finished with a 2.16 ERA.

PREP: A 1999 graduate of Sarasota High School where he lettered two years in baseball for head coach Clyde Metcalf...Two-time Class 5A All State selection...Two-time Sarasota Herald-Tribune All Area selection...Registered a 10-2 record, 1.76 ERA and struck out 97 batters in 66.1 innings as a senior...Also played football...Honor Roll student...Received academic award for highest grade point average on team.
