John Grieco, 30, is in his sixth full year as strength and conditioning coordinator for the University of Florida baseball program.
Grieco is responsible for the daily development and guidance of student-athletes in the Ben Hill Griffin Training Center and coordinates the Gator conditioning program throughout the season. In addition to his duties with the baseball squad, he also works with UF's nationally-ranked football team.
Grieco has worked in the UF Strength and Conditioning program since the fall of 1994. He served a part-time internship and practicum in the department prior to his graduation from Florida with an exercise and sport science degree in August, 1995. He was hired as a full-time strength and conditioning coach in July, 1996.
A member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Grieco is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He and his wife Jamie are the proud parents of a son Nicholas, born October 17, 2001.
